Last weekend I went to ARRC – the Australian Romance Readers Conference, and it was fabulous. While there, I had the pleasure of meeting (among lots of others) two truly lovely authors: Jordana Ryan and Lexxie Couper. I’m very excited to get tucked into a few of Jordana’s books. This woman has a wicked side you’d never dream of by just looking at her innocent face. (I can’t wait to see if it shows in her stories.)

In the meantime, I was lucky enough to get my grubby hands on a copy of Lexxie’s Savage Retribution. (And yes, I read it on my new Han Lin eReader). Now I’m not sure if you’ve read the book yet or met Lexxie, but I can tell you from my experience she surprised the heck out of me. After meeting authors or readers on book loops, I always get this preconceived image in my mind of what the person looks like. For me, Lexxie was always incredibly tall (I’m talking 5’9″, 5’10” tall) with a killer body, legs that went on forever, shortish, platinum blond hair and icy blue eyes. (Yes, she looked gorgeous and intimidating!) LOL, imagine my surprise when Lexxie introduced herself, and I didn’t have to look up, up, up to meet her very warm gaze.

Okay, so the real Lexxie Couper may not look like the ultimate she-super-hero, but she is pretty as anything, cute as can be, and would make a wonderful heroine in one of my novels. She is funny and friendly, and honestly you just can’t help but like her. But like Jordana, she must have a million hidden thoughts going on behind those eyes of hers – because heck, I read Savage Retribution and it is HOT, wild and a thrill on every page.? Talk about capturing the essence of an alpha hero and a kick ass heroine. Dec is the ultimate sexy hero, and if you like your wolves untamed (whether on four legs or two) he is the one for you. As for Regan, well, let’s just say you want this heroine on your side – always. (Hmm, Dec also seems to want Regan on his side, and on top, and underneath. On the floor, on the couch, the bed…) 😉
