So the package finally arrived. There it was, sitting innocently enough on my front door step. A lovely brown box. Perhaps the loveliest I have ever seen.
I’ve received several interesting deliveries before. Flowers. Fruit arrangements. Platters of sweets, chocs and other delicacies. Clothes. Promotional postcards I’d ordered.
But none of those things, none of them, compared to what I found in this box.
Ripping all that tape off was no easy task, my hands were shaking so hard. But I did. I managed. I’ve waited for this package for a very, very, very, very, very long time. A little violent tremor was not going to stop me.
And just take a look at what I found inside…
Beautiful, aren’t they?
My very own copies of my very own book. Mine!
Now don’t get me wrong. I love e-books. Love ’em. But there’s just something about holding a book you have written in your own two hands.
*Sigh*
Tonight I am happy.
Jess
